WHAT IS PUBLIC HOUSING
What is Public Housing
Public housing is affordable rental housing provided to low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to ensure safe, decent, and affordable homes while promoting stability and self-sufficiency.. Rent is based on a percentage of household income, making housing more accessible and stable.
Public housing is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and managed locally by housing authorities like the Housing Authority of Dry Ridge.
We do not administer Section 8 vouchers.
Applicants seeking vouchers must apply through a separate agency.
