Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners is the legally and financially responsible governing body of a PHA and the first line of accountability for the PHA's performance. The Housing Authority is governed by a six member Board of Commissioners ("the Board") that is responsible for policy, fiscal management and the appointment of the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Five Commissioners, appointed by the Mayor, serve four year terms. One Commissioner, who is a  resident of the Authorities Housing Project, serves a two year term. There is no limit on the number of terms a Commissioner may serve.

Regular meetings by the Board of Commissioners regarding the Housing Authority of Dry Ridge shall be held bi-monthly, occurring in the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November at 8:00 A.M. These meetings will take place on the 2nd Monday of said months unless the Chair and one other member of the Commission deem it unnecessary for lack of business.
